Introduction to Domain Auctions

Occasionally we run auctions for selected premium domains. Be sure to sign-up for a free account to ensure that don't miss an auction and are able to participate.

All auctions are accessible from the home page. Once you select a domain auction, you will be taken to the auction details page where you can place a bid. The auction details page looks like this:

The domain you are bidding is clearly displayed at the top. Next is the time the auction ends shown in weeks, days, hours, and minutes. After that you are able to see whether the domain includes a website. If the domain also includes a website this will be clearly indicated and the winning bidder will receive full ownership of the domain plus all website files associated with the name.

Also displayed on the auction details page is the date and time the auction started and when it will close, plus the current server time for your comparison.

Next is the field where you enter you maximum bid. You can enter as high amount as you are willing to pay, the system will proxy bid only up according to the bid increments. So this means that if the current bid is 100 USD, and bid increment is 10 USD, and you enter 200 USD, then the new bid will be 110 USD. It will not go up unless someone else enters the next bid. In this case the system will bid for you only up until your maximum bid amount is reached.

On the right hand side you will see a box displaying the current bid, bid increment, and next bid amounts. Above the box you have icons that can be selected to reload the page, add the page to favorites, take you to your user control panel, or send the page link to a friend.
